Position: Billing Queue Agent
Hours: 8:00-5:00pm Monday-Friday
The Billing Queue Agent is responsible for answering approximately 50 – 75 calls a day from the Business Office phone queue and assist with any questions or issues in a professional manner. It is also their responsibility to thoroughly document within Athena any correspondence and all action needed to successfully resolve the question or issues. May be cross trained in other Patient Support duties.
High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in healthcare billing, or combination of education, training, and/or experience in a hospital or medical group business office. Experience with billing, computers, and business software programs (Microsoft Excel) preferred, communication skills and the ability to multi task are required.
