Position:         Workers’ Compensation Certified Medical Spanish Interpreter

Status:            Full Time

Hours:             Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Hours may vary depending on patients schedules)

Location:         WPP but will travel to all office locations

General Job Duties

  • Interpret and relay to Spanish speaking patients all information stated by providers, medical assistants, staff members; ensure comprehension is achieved
  • Travel to various location attending all WC appointments as required
  • Maintain a schedule for all WC appointments
  • Provide Spanish translation in WC dept with Spanish speaking patients when needed.
  • Obtain authorizations related to Workers’ Compensation patient procedures, office visits, physical therapy
  • Collect insurance information as well as any other information to complete the employee’s case policy
  • Correct, add or delete any patient information in EmergeOrtho database, maintaining accurate records
  • Schedule appointments according to Workers’ Comp guidelines
  • Assist in completing department responsibilities staff coverage is low due to vacations or sickness
  • Work closely with case managers, insurance adjusters, employers to ensure that the process of care is efficient
  • Communicate with EmergeOrtho providers to obtain information or answer questions as needed from those involved in a specific case
  • Organize and efficiently handle departmental material and duties
  • Maintain appropriate logs, records, reports; fax/email requested documents
  • Perform related duties, as required
  • Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
  • Communicate general clinic information
  1. Excellent command of English and Spanish; ability to speak and write at a professional level in both languages
  2. Knowledge of Orthopaedic terminology
  3. Professional demeanor; ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  4. Experience serving the Latino community in a professional role
  5. Must be a Certified Medical Spanish Interpreter
