Established in 1985, the Security and Emergency Response Training Center (SERTC) is operated by the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI), a subsidiary of the Association of American Railroads.  We serve not only the transportation service industry, but also the public sector emergency response community, the chemical industry, government agencies, and emergency response contractors from all over the world. The incumbent will provide hazardous materials program Curriculum Development.  Must have mastery of user experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with NDPC program course material and more specifically 508-curriculum revisions is critical.

Will assist with curriculum development tasks on any and all Security Emergency Response Training Center (SERTC) training programs. Will work with manager to ensure SERTC curriculum is up to date based upon NDPC requirements.


  • Experience in 508 Accessibility Program and revising and creating Microsoft Office documents such as Power Point, Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with higher education curriculum development,
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral communication skills

 Physical Demands: This work requires walking, standing, bending, sitting, and carrying of small packages or containers. Requires ability to read, interpret data, follow instructions, and work with a computer.  The normal work environment is an office.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing curriculum for hazardous materials training
  • 508 Trusted Tester certification highly desirable
